Cub Scouts at WHJE
On Thursday February 9th, WHJE welcomed Cub Scouts from Hamilton County to tour the station. While touring the station, the boys enjoyed learning about what makes the station run smoothly. They also had the opportunity to experience going live on the air with the help of WHJE staff members.
On Friday, February 3rd WHJE DJ-ed a Tailgate before the Boys Basketball game against North Central. The event took place inside the freshman cafeteria. WHJE will be holding the first annual radiothon event to benefit Carmel High School’s Dance Marathon. It will be aired Saturday, February 25th, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tune in for interviews with Riley kids, dancers, and event organizers. On October 8th, WHJE played music and had fun with the community at the Indiana University Health Hospital Pumpkin Patch. To kick off the fall season, kids dressed up in their awesome Halloween costumes and danced around to WHJE’s music while picking out their pumpkins.

WHJE was invited to DJ the 2011 Clay Challenge on September 13th through the 15th. Clay Middle School students walked and ran around their track for 30 minutes after raising money for their school’s PTO.
